Our City

About Hala

Hala (هالا) is a historic city and taluka of Matiari District, Sindh, Pakistan, located on the N-5 National Highway — about 62 km from Hyderabad. It received Taluka status in 1848 and became part of Matiari District in 2005.

As of the 2017 census, Hala Municipal Corporation has a population of 65,731. Total Taluka population reaches 262,423 — including Hala Old, Bhit Shah, Bhanote and surrounding areas.

About Civil Society

Civil Society Sindh is a non-political humanitarian organization established in 2020, registered under No. 8263 under the Societies Registration Act 1860 — dedicated to the welfare of Hala and surrounding areas.

Working across Education, Employment, Career Counseling, Health, Social & Economic Development, Tourism, Human Rights, and Public Awareness — with a prime focus on empowering women and girls through active participation.
