About Hala
Hala (Sindhi: هالا Urdu: ہالا) is a city and taluka of Matiari district of Sindh, Pakistan. According to the Revenue record, Hala was given the status of Taluka of Hyderabad District in 1848. In 2005, it became part of Matiari District. Hala is located on the N-5 National Highway of Pakistan at a distance of about 62 kilometers from Hyderabad. Hala is also located on the Tando Adam - Mehrabpur Railway Line but railway line has been abandoned by Pakistan Railways. As of 2017 census, the Hala Municipal Corporation has a population of 65,731. Total population of Hala Taluka is 262,423 (2017) which includes Hala Municipal Corporation, Hala Old, Bhit Shah, Bhanote and surrounding areas.
ABOUT CIVIL SOCIETY
Civil Society Sindh is a Non-Political humanitarian organization established in 2020 & Registered under No. 8263 to run under the societies Registration Act 1860 and is working for the welfare of Hala and its surrounding areas. The organization works in various sectors such as Education, Employment, Career Counseling, Health, Social and Economic Development, Tourism, Human Rights & Public Awareness etc. particularly with a vision to make Hala Old as a Modern City. Empowering women and girls through their active participation in Civil Society, has become a prime focus and their role is recognized as the key driver in fostering the awareness and developing civic sense in the young girls and women. Civil Society Sindh has made a significant progress with support of local communities and government sponsored projects. Various milestones have been achieved and there is a long list of achievements in shorted span of time under the patronage of Chairman Syed Gulfam Shah Kazmi and his team.
